King Abdul Aziz Dialogue Center

The Dialogue Center is named after the founder of the Saudi kingdom, Late king Abdul Aziz bin Saud, who bonded the different tribes living in this region in to one. The Foundation started its work in 2003 and holds an annual event where a topic, be it religion and moderation, women rights, employment among youth or whatever are discussed among various intellectuals, different sects and university students, and its recommendations are sent to the King. The building is situated along the North ring road in Riyadh.

A need was felt that the center should have its own independent office which resulted in this new center being established at the heart of the city Riyadh in north ring road.

Car park ventilation

The fire safety design originally included sprinklers but the client / government wanted to have a full smoke control system in accordance to the latest standards available. Colt were chosen because of its technical expertise as well as its local knowledge, having set up an office in Saudi Arabia as long ago as 1994.

The car park has 2 underground floors for which the system has been designed to meet the needs for day to day ventilation and smoke ventilation. Colt carried out a CFD study to ensure the accuracy of the design of the ventilation system. Colt supplied Cyclone and Jetstream fans and also carried out all necessary testing and commissioning before handing over to the facilities management team and the client.
